LINDEN -- Jeptha "Jep" Switzer, 73, died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital. He had been in failing health several years. A lifelong resident of Linden, he was a trucker and mail carrier. He attended Linden schools and was a member of the Old Christian Church. He was a son of John M. and Nannie Rush Switzer. Surviving are three brothers, William of Moreand, Ind.; Herbert "Pete" of Linden; and Paul "Bud" of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Georgiana Burke of Neptune Beach, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Helms Funeral Home here with Rev. Broten Martin officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.
